sony, ade antunna.. vadu ivvalsindi dashboard ki.. now Line change monitor. Front collision alert system etc are already there. they charge around 5 to 6 grand for these features. If they enable pluggable then we get it for peanuts | ||

Thokkalodi.. most of the latest dashboards are 10 inch and they apps like tablet. Did you see latest toyota/honda dashboard.. they have apps like facebook, pandora, navigate , traffic, bingo etc. Providing pluggable dashboard does nto introduce anything new. | ||

when you have 10 such accidents due to drivers looking hot gulte.com images... then its a multi-multi-million dollar liability. liability can happen due to silly reasons, like not writing "its hot beverage" on a coffee cup, or not putting "slippery when wet" board on office floors when somebody is mopping the floor. basically... if you let people plug in their devices into cars system, then its a law suit waiting to happen. If the driver gets distracted by the tablet and commits an accident... car manufacturer will be liable for providing faulty equipment that distracts. Ranbir Kapoor is god of acting | ||

Car makers make lot of money on these extra packages. It does not make sense for them to offer pluggable dashboards. | ||

Recently i have seen honda and Toyota dashboard with navigation and other apps. They are very basic but similar to Android/ios system. Instead of spending millions on that why cannot they give jack to place the android devices? They charge upto 2k just for navigation app. Which we get in 100$ tablet on free. |
