I got this mail from Immigration Voice. Hi In the background, some of us are working towards decreasing the wait time for green cards for Indians. We are also working towards freedom for foreign workers so as to be able to change jobs and/or start your own business. Here are some simple things we seek your help for: 1) Make this your home page in browser at your work and home computers: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/213 We want to make this #1 in the list. Currently at #2. This bill removes country cap in employment-based green cards. 2) LIKE and Follow the action items on the public page of www.facebook.com/immigrationvoice The folks in Washington DC may come up with one more campaign shortly. We can use your help. There are at least one hundred and twenty-three core volunteers on a special CLOSED Facebook group, a confidential Telegram App group where we discuss and converse every day. In the past one week alone, our group volunteers have met several federal lawmakers in person in the local offices. And hundreds of special “Request for Co-Sponsorship” communications have been going on with federal lawmaking offices. We are working both on HOUSE and SENATE side to get a policy change. Our past successes have been in the honoring of July 2007 bulletin, Bill HR3012 in 2011, EAD-for-H4s, Executive Action as announced on Nov 21 , 2014 and the recent withdrawal of Senator Hatch’s amendment. We cannot put everything in one email. If we do a public conference call, we will invite you all too to enlighten you and seek your help in Advocacy. |
