Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is set to inaugurate a number of manufacturing units during his visit to Sri City Special Industrial Zone in Chittoor, coinciding with the visit of PepsiCo Chairperson and CEO Indra Nooyi on April 3. Taking forward the meeting Naidu had with Nooyi in Davos earlier this year, some areas of collaboration, including sourcing of products, and possible investments between the FMCG giant and the Government are likely to be made on Friday. Naidu is slated to take part in the ground-breaking ceremonies of industrial units of Rexam, Vermeiren, Cipy Pagel, KGI Clothing, Ayurvet, Brindco, Power Gas, Koncept Poly Pro, Be' Rollex, Beva Silicones and Godavari Udyog. He will also inaugurate nine industrial units in Sri City. These include The Netherlands-based Hunter Douglas, setting up an industrial facility with a proposed investment on Rs. 250 crore, providing an employment for 300 people. Other projects are USA-based West Pharma, setting up its facility with a proposed investment of Rs. 150 crore and employment potential for 150. China-based Electronics industry ZTT India, Japanese firm Nippon Seiki, setting up an engineering facility with a proposed investment of Rs. 100 crore, Indian firm Mohan Mutha Polytech setting up plastic moulding industry with a proposed investment of Rs. 100 crore, Japan’s Kusakabe, an auto components-based industry with a proposed investment of Rs. 100 crore, are among the several projects. Apart from taking part in 100 years celebrations of Italy-based steel major Danieli, Naidu will flag off Kobelco Cranes for export to South Asia, according to the Chief Minister’s Office. |
