Andhra school ki ela pompisthar vayya. They go go Shikshantar, second best in Gurgaon after Shriram. Again an alternative school, run by the Unitech guys. Fees around 1.4 laksh excluding transport. DPS is not elite any more, atleast the ones in Gurgaon. DPS RK Puram and DPS Mathura Road (in Delhi) are still in the top few along with a bunch of others like Shriram (Delhi), Vasant valley, Modern School, Columbas, Mothers Intl etc. Feel is Delhi schools are even lower than Gurgaon. | ||

They didnt mention any radius...but general understanding felt within a radius of 3-4 km wud be preferred....we stay more than 7-8 away.... But there are always exceptions, arent they? You might get lucky...All the Best for your trials... | ||

How do you spend time with your child? 3. How do you celebrate your child's birthdays? 4. Why Vidyaranya? 5. Where do you stay with complete postal address? 6. Why not considering other schools? 7. Philosophy of education? 8. Are you working or business? A lot focus on the mother....They underplay their school a lot to the point of discouraging parents... Yup...they Interview parents...Job interviews ki kuda antha tension undadhu.....Ye answer cheppina double speed lo punch paduddhi... Maaku interview chesindhi manchi fruit musalollu (ladies). It was almost like suddenly we became children again.... 2 months after the interview results are declared. Literally mana face nacchithe seat lekapothe jai hind. As far as our own interview goes, I think one question sealed our fate at the end - Where do u stay??? The moment the question was asked I understood gone ani...Once I replied, they said "Why do you want to stress the child by sending him so far? Its never the school which is important, it is the child and the quality time that parents spend with the child that is important...We are sure there must be many good schools close by..." Ivi just sample replies by them...By the time interview was over, I was like   But seat vasthe maatram pls dont miss.... | ||

talked with more people rounded up 3 options 1)vidyaranya lakdikapool 2) chaitanya vidyalaya begumpet 3) sloka waldorf aziznagar for kindergarten jubileehills all the other INTERNATIONAL SCHHOLLS r a burden but of zero use rather sending kids to international schools u can send u r kid to GEETANJALI or atlesat KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA ( tehjse have standard indian methodology teaching) if u r kid interested in swimming u can send them u r self outside coaches r plenty and swimming pools r plenty no need tos end to international schools for swimming and horse riding purpose what a kid needs is VALUE BASED SYSTEM AND STREESS FEE TEACHING what I felt is after talking to many the baove 3 schools offer these in children | ||

Vidyaranya is a great school. Getting a seat is very tough. Process of admission starts in Sep/Oct. They focus on simplicity & creativity. Do not believe in burdening the child. No exams till 8th grade. Very down to earth school. They have been ranked No.1 school in the city for past many years by Edu World. They are a Jiddu Krishnamurthy group school. Gitanjili is very good school which runs in the standard CBSE/ICSE format. Always heard good reviews abt it. Not sure how big is the campus though. Waldorf schools like Sloka, Abhaya, Prerna are very similar to Vidyaranya. They do not burden the child and teach them in a practical sense. They believe every child shall learn at their own pace. Really good schools but parents need to be patient and believe in their system. | ||

Bhayya first of all where do you live? Vidyaranya is near secretariat; geetanjali in begumpet and sloka main campus in aziz nagar. Kids traveling hectic kakunda plan cheyyandi. All the schools are good. Naku thelisina oka 2-3 girls akkada Vidyaranyam lo chadivaru...alternative school koncham, try to adapt a few things from here and there like KFI, Waldorf etc etc..but kids come out to well read, artistic bent etc etc...not the regular run of the mill Telugu kids... Geetanjali - one of the best among the regular format schools in Hyd. Of course i have not been in Hyd of late so recent info others can give. Another alternative school that a few of my friends kids go to is Chaitanya Vidyalaya. They like it a lot. It is not a very high profile school, though my friends are quite high profile. They like their value based teaching and simplicity. | ||
