ok.. even thought passport is expiring neeku Jan 2016 varaku i-94 icchinda on H1 copy... thats good.. u should be good until Jan 2016 from i-94 perspective then... ur wife on H1b now kada... H4 status is inactive ippudu.. she is on H1 and she needs her visa stamped to enter US... That being said yedo 30 days exception period untadi where u dnt need visa.. MOM knows more abt that rule... Bottom line - NO.. H4 stamping cannot be used because she is on H1 now | ||

yup... H1 renewal ayinappudu kotta passport thoti apply cheste, u should have got the i-94 date same as H1b date ... so u should be good until Jan 2016.. okka saari emp/attorney thoti kuda confirm chesko to make sure they did everything correctly... i meant to come back to US... h1 stamping already ayyinda ani | ||

Ikkadey confusion annai..Online lo chusthey I94 valid only until June 12,2015 ani undi where as on I797 it has the same I94# but it says work permit is valid until Jan 2016. Does this mean I94 is also valid until then?

HD initially was on a H4 and her visa stamp is valid until May 2016. But I94 will be expired on June 12,2016 which is also her passport expiry date. She renewed her passport now and want to extend her I94 stay. Also, she converted to H1B now which is valid until Jan 2016. We are planning to visit Canada in June. So, instead of applying for I539 extension form, can we visit Canada during June 5- June 15 and upon arrival to the USA, will she be given a new I94? TIA |
