I partly agree with New_User. people cry nail and tooth about the EIC who had one motive - Business. They did not rape the locals. They did not convert people by sword or by any means. There is no evidence of British destroying one temple. I read the article. What did the loot consist of ? Diamond studded daggers, emeralds, rubys. That sounds like loot from the kings, not common man. Yes, the tax policy broke the backs of common man but that is better than the existing Muslim rule which did the same in addition to treating majority like second rate citizens in their own land. There were no separate laws for Muslims and Hindus after the British came Those who are crying on the British what did you want that 200 years to be ?
