Unfortunately, the court refused to give directions to the Speaker of the Assembly and the Chairman of the Council. They only "requested" them to dispose the disqualification petitions in 90 days. Some of the MLCs are going to complete their term in about a month. So the disqualification petition won't have much meaning after that. I wish the court had given strict directions and even warned the Speaker and Chairman that they would be punished if they make a mockery of the constitution in this manner. The same must be done to the Lok Sabha speaker if YSRCP asks her to disqualify SPY Reddy and she doesn't take any action. |
