Right canal has 2 lakh+ acres irrigation base in west godavari. Krishna&Guntur has less use on right canal than west. Point here is not east/west or krishna. Overall we provide water to rayalaseema with our share of krishna by using godavari water(which is going waste now). Also KCR will not have fun of wasting water releasing to bay of bengal. Also showing that we are blackmailed on lot of other stuff. | ||

Please total available doesn't change much as the total storage at polavaram is fixed. Let us say total available water is 500 tmc If u don't complete this project, let us say you get 250 tmc water part of river linking project.. If this project is completes, 80 tmc would go to krishna and you use another 40 tmc in WG and KD. available water would be 380 tmc as u r utilizing 80 + 40 tmc.. Now AP would get 190 tmc.. Along with 40 + 80.. Within 80 you share with other states.. Still you get more tmc as ur share, it could 50 tmc more Note - numbers are not accurate just for understanding purpose | ||

There is a speculation that it would be completed/attached part/to river linking project.. Apart from the current usage, additional water availability will be distributed between the states. Agreed it is in the initial stages but Before any such agreements, start using more water.. Available water would be less, you get your share as per the agreed ratio.. Since you are already using the water, that would be excluded and you get more in total.. | ||

Polavaram best case scenario will take 10 to 12 years. So this project meanwhile can take advantage of the canal developed spending 7000 cr. anyway with fighting between CBN and Ysrcp what we missed is the last five years congress spent huge money in projects increasing state debt from 90000 cr to 190000 cr with absolutely nothing to show. Both ysr and CBN are far better than the idiots that ruled for the last 5 years. | ||
