Darth_vader:What or to whom accountability? Once the money goes to state it's unto CM to decide how they spend them kada
yes. that is ofcourse the main concern. in the old setup, the center would control this fund disbursement (which obviously invites bias) and can withdraw it if they see improper use. not anymore. |

Tilak:Judiciary chetilo undi anukunta migitaadi antha .. to strengthen PoCA and deliver justice quickly??
chala expect chesthunnav. When progressive governments under BJP resort to interest waivers for farmers in Guj & Mah you know this culture is here to stay. We can't just wish it away just like that. Indian cities have their share of problems, but they are also places where you can walk around their shadiest areas at 1 am and be safer than say parts of Chicago, NYC, London, Madrid, Sydney etc... |

Bushu:yeah. that's a big concern. I wonder how the accountability model is going to work out. is the once in five year state elections the only check? historically, central govt schemes have always been managed better than state schemes.

Today should be marked as that day when India made a quantum but risky leap to take her shining position. the soviet style central hand me down mentality has been sidelined in the true spirit of federalism. Here's Modi's letter to the CMs: http://pib.nic.in/newsite/mbErel.aspx?relid=115722 now the question - will this make or break India? |
