Interesting...map-reduce and Havasu (no-sql) Is there a way to get distributed data into file system, or its outside hadoop realm? Basically when I have data in multiple sources like databases, files, social media etc, how do u grab to apply hadoop paradigm? |

Catalyst: Hadoop: So if inject large sets of data where is the data stored not in DB? I am not sure i am getting the point guru. Normal java or .net does not support large sets of data injection?
the data will inject in to HDFS(files system), like a data store. its not a database. aa data meeda map-reduce(you can write this map-reduce programs using java,or python,bash,perl..etc, but usally ppl use java to write it) jobs run chestaru to to get meaning full data set out of tons of data, on top of it usually analytics run chesukontaru based on company use cases. idi oka part ika second part enti antee. one of the component in hadoop is habase which is database(no-sql db)...aa inject chesa data hbase loki chesi real time purpose ki vaadataaru some times. btw, no-sql ante chalamandi no-sql anukontaru...but it is actually not only SQL ani artham. |

Catalyst:Ante DB kaadhu kadha?
hadoop is framework where you can ingest tons of data , run your uses against it using map-reduce programs.it had many components based on your use cases you can choose out of it. one of the use case running analytics. one of the component in hadoop is habse, which you can integrate to your echo-system if needed, basically habase is no-sql databases which you can use for realtime processing. where as map-reduce programs were more of batch processing jobs. my two cents |

http://searchcloudcomputing.techtarget.com/definition/Hadoop Hadoop is a free, Java-based programming framework that supports the processing of large data sets in a distributed computing environment. It is part of the Apache project sponsored by the Apache Software Foundation. |
