Futures market lo 2020 USD/INR trade avuthe around 100 untundi already. That is the normal expectation because US risk free (Treasury or bank) interest rates are at least 8% lower than Indian risk-free (Treasury or bank) interest rates. So Dollar must be expected to appreciate to make up for this difference. Otherwise, the smart money (Hedge funds, HNIs etc.) would not keep any money in the US. Aina 100 rupees per dollar by the end of 2020 ante just 8.2% per year appreciation of dollar... no big deal... even if you don't understand the concept I tried to explain, just see historical dollar vs rupee performance for the last few decades, you will notice that USD has easily been appreciating 8.2% per year. | ||
