But they are facing cheque bounce cases also, right? Cheques worth hundreds of crores. How can these cases be diluted unless they pay up? They can be delayed, I agree, and High Court lo appeal chestey, it may be possible to delay for several years, but they can't get away. And if they have money in offshore accounts, why aren't they somehow routing it here to save themselves from the cheque bounce cases? | ||

Yep you could be right but the thing is according to my knowledge of venkattram reddy he is a huge ego and status maniac. we all know how he used to breed race horses and so on. I dont know about raju but venkattram reddy's road no.14 house which was his personal house was mortgaged. also he was a big car maniac and had dozens of luxury cars...selling cars is a very last resort thing... its a typical financial crisis ....house sale...cars sale...etc..i dont think this would have happened unless the situation was really that bad.. even this is all a cover to act like he is actually suffering, Deccan Chronicle can never return to profitability because interest expenses on outstanding loans far exceed any reported profit positions..... intha jarigina tharavata i dont think hes the kind to still do stupid sh!t like eating profit and reporting loss on statements. but his greatest loss is loss of face value...even if you lose money its ok...lots of companies are doing bad now like GMR... but once you are labeled and stamped....its a big deal...it will affect your life style and i guess its why he didnt attend this kid's wedding..

Your calculation may be right, but share price is a reflection of how much value common investor see's in the stock not neccessarily what the company is worth to the promoters. For example, even if the company is able to make a lot of money, if the promoters steal it and underreport and don't give dividends, the share may be worth very little to common investors.
