nenu anthaka mundu pani chesina company lo SSN's laantivi Encrypt chesevaaru tables lo...select * kodithe emi artham kaadhu...but there will be some procedures/functions sitting again in the same database to decrypt this info (if we have to pass on this info to some other downstream system...) so encrypted data ni decrypt cheyyatam is more like just writing another small procedure/function...dead easy hackers ki idhi... | ||

Sheer scale of the amount of data stolen, it is freaking amazing. Somehow, these companies need to figure out a way to make this data useless to these hackers. May be making SSNs and DOBs irrelevant? I think this is going to be a decisive moment in data security. |
