Since the BJP is the bookies favourite, one would get least amount of money if they voted on the party. While no bets are being accepted for the Congress party, betting on Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will get one more than double his/her money. As per the current rates, for every Re 1 placed on BJP, one would get 36 paise on the party’s victory. The ratio stands at 1:36. "This means that if one places Rs 1 lakh on BJP he or she would get only Rs 36,000 if the party wins the Delhi election. However, placing the same amount on Aam Aadmi Party will fetch them Rs 2.5 lakh," said a master bookie. The bookies have predicted that BJP will get 40-42 seats in the Delhi polls, while AAP will lag behind with merely 20-22 seats. Last year the betting market suffered a huge loss when AAP emerged winner. So far more than Rs 1000 crore is at stake in the betting market, according to an English newspaper. |
