All of us are aware on how irrational and unscientific the bifurcation process of Andhra Pradesh was. True to that, there are many collateral damages and consequences the administration and the people are experiencing. Now, a lot of heat is being seen towards the land pooling activity for the new capital in AP. Reports say about 1000 farmers from Andhra Pradesh have written to PM Narendra Modi complaining of the manner in which their farming lands are being snatched. The analysts say this is a good thing because unless the center involves, this issue cannot be resolved peacefully and properly. But what will Narendra Modi say? Will he state it is related to states and will not involve or will he speak to Chandrababu Naidu and look at some other option. The bifurcation was done without any proper groundwork and people are not entirely happy with the land pooling initiative. Most of them don’t know anything except farming, where will they go. There is also the resistance to change because they have to go out of their comfort zone. Last but not the least, there is the emotional attachment with their soil.
