if someone who is 6'7" is bowling on a bouncy wicket..what is the point in walking towards..and trying to hit straight..he should have waited on back foot and tried to play square..
of course..to counter that..they might bowl outside off..
He tried that against Australia and got out so maybe wanted to try the walk in buffing ala hayden. Also proly he was countering for swing which Anderson, woakws and broad had.

undue pressure on rohit, rahane and kohli to play a long innings. God forbid if rayudu can't rotate strike then extra pressure on the other batsmen to maintain the scoring rate and on these pitches its not easy to hit boundaries. Rahane throwing his wicket away today is due to this.rains dhi gb he dint even try to get back.
