As per RBI once you are NRI(more than 180 days outside India) then you cannot buy Farm land. But thousands/lakhs of NRI's they purchased and hardly they were troubled. Maximum they put penalty(or take gurantee that they don't repatriate) and give post-facto aprpoval. But for foreign passport holders the law is very strict. For NRI(with Indian passport) very soon BJP govt may lift "farm land" restriction. But our RBI governor is objecting it. | ||

Notary is done free of cost in lot of places(banks). Incase if they don;t do there are lot of outsiders that charge 10$ max(try UPS and call them) Take a print ouf of ur land records from http://registration.ap.gov.in/APCARDECClient/ and there you mention that you are giving providing consensus for the above land to be pooled. But POA is better than notary. In our case we are thinking POA as we have Indian consulate here in my place. Also I am going India 21st so may do it at that time directly myself. | ||

Lot of owners are NRI and non-locals and narayana needs to explain the process for these people. Lot of people want to do it during Sankrathi time. Overall 95-98% in metta will be cleared easily(just matter of date). In Jarebu lands people are still hopeful of at least 100 yards more so are waiting. But they all want to give unlike some XXX villages. Revenue department has become big headache for all. In these 10 years they became so thick skinned that nobody can change them. Lot of farmers don't have documents and VRO/MRO's need to give them ASAP. Yesterday 10 people together(doing same for last few months) went to get documents from VRO and the VRO's response was "Sir mekanti kotiswarulu maku vere panulu vundava. 15 days agi randi ledu urgent ante cheppandi matladadam" Same is the story for last few months in some villages.Chetta gallu e revenue department vallu. Better whole revenue department is outsourced with young contractors who are jobless. 40% of owners don't have latest/proper documents is big problem. Narayana was told about it and they may take care of them next week. There is a master stroke and that is working underwater already even in XXX villages. - 1st time in history CBN giving benefit to assigned land owners is going to do wonders(and already started meetings against XXX party whom they were sympathizers before) Never in history these people got benefit for "assigned lands". IN these villages some are threatening(all sorts of methods) them to not go ahead but matter of days and they will come forward. Don't want to name XXX villages but 40-50% of these villages is "assinged lands" so no worry in the climax(wait for that). If you don't pool then for road expansion and others no choice but to use "Acquistion". In Acquision they get maximum 50 lakhs and also 1/3 goes to Income tax out of it. | ||

If you are just an NRI and still has Indian passport then POA is fine. If you are foreign passport holder then it is very complicated(and still CBN and team are struggling with that). RBI guidelines is the problem here for foreign passport holders who got agriland land through 1) from parents 2) purchased it when they were indian citizens They are still working on the guide lines for "Foreign passport" holders as of Today | ||
