Eddie Redmayne was mindblowing as Stephen Hawking in Theory of everything too ..imitation game is a better movie by far but performance wise both Redmayne and Cumberbatch were superb ... Agree awesome and all the superlatives that can be used ... Actually it only released mainstream here this week - it had a limited release the thanksgiving weekend and i held off watching waiting for my older one to be home from college - his honors comp sci program is named after Turing . Only reason why this movie hasn't gone mainstream is because it shows how bigoted the western countries are and to what ends they go if a person doesn't confirm to the moralities and sensibilitees of that time. At some point you have to give up hope for a better past. | ||

Finally watched the movie with my boys.. Good movie on the man who, the genius and enigma who is the father of our field of work .. Cumberbatch is phenomenal as Alan Turing -- oscar worthy Keira Knightly rocked , and so did the rest of the ensemble ..The dialogues, the BGM (Alexandre Desplat-take a bow) the screenplay everything worked bigtime for me ..
