r u sure bro , shop only liqor licence and bar (srving liqor) licence have to be bought from govt directly , and for bar its 25 lak per year i think hyd belongs to indians, hyd revenue must be shared by telugu states, stop fighting plzz | ||

Oh yeah forgot adding the last part. Any restaurant or a pub has to procure liquor only from the retail shops which have the license to sell liquor in the operating area of the restaurents. Only some 5&4 star hotels are exempted from this rule even on that relaxation there are some restrictions. At some point you have to give up hope for a better past. | ||

Even so still has to be routed through excise department. India lo retail ki producers ki madya inko channel vundi and that is excise department which has iron clad monopoly. Manufacturers sell it respective state goverenments and these governments sell to retail. In some states even retail is managed by states. did you guys order a bottle? I've seen the prices and moved on but never did order a wine bottle. Duty free and dilli lo I know one dealer who gets it through bilaak akkada konatam ey kaani never ever ordered the whole bottle. Once in a while a glass maybe but the whole bottle never. It doesn't make economical sense to order a bottle. At some point you have to give up hope for a better past. | ||

Import tax is bit high in india last time when i visited India in many restaurants a normal average wine was 16 thousand rs and ppl did not mind. If i tie up with some dealer here in Napa or other distributors( you get a very good Tuscan wine for 20$ here in Bay Area). Lot of ppl are into Wine these days in Hyd and specially people who are health freaks. If the interior is all rustic wooden, it going to be very unique , aimed just for class | ||

Procurement of different wines is tough and by offering just wine don't think you'll have to many takers for this concept because wine conessieurs are not gonna come to a tapas bar and drink they would rather prefer some sophisticated settings. I heard Tuscany of trident has some excellent wine collection. At some point you have to give up hope for a better past. | ||

Friends what do you think of just Wine Tapas bar , just different wines and tapas food with various good cheese. Wine seem to new area in India and if it explodes in future just like China this will be the best ever business. Pls give your opinion. |
