Every conversion has to be informed to court / govt body through an affidavit. Though anybody have a right to preach a religion, No one have a right/authorized to convert others. No religious conversions should be allowed at large scale public gathering. Arrest anyone who lured to convert and ban those NGOs arrest evangelists who come on tourist VISAs but doing religious preachings. this is stupid and violation of freedom etc.. asala in my view, there is nothing like a fraud conversion.. if you are going to convert, you better tk some money or derive some material benefit to do so.. otherwise, what is the point in converting? the only thing is govt should scrap all religion based exemptions in all its laws.. this is where bjp/rss is stupid.. asalu source of problem ni vadilesi, doing some street level thuggery.. so many things it can do: 1. RTE which is applicable to all schools except those of minorities (even if they are govt funded).. amend it and remove the exemptions 2. govt control of religious institutions - it can take money only from hindu temples, but not others.. how is this secular? relinquish control of temples and scrap sponsoring pilgrimage visits of private individuals 3. bring in uniform civil code by default (and religious law only when both parties agree to it) 4. bring in absolute freedom of speech like the US.. you cannot claim hurting religious sentiments and at the same time talk about freedom of conversion.. Addressing a public rally in Kolkata on Saturday, RSS Sarasanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said, “Bring a law against conversion in Parliament if you don’t like conversions.” The RSS chief said those opposing conversion of people from other religions to Hinduism should first stop the conversion of Hindus to other faiths. “If you don’t want to change into a Hindu, then you should not convert the Hindus too.” Bhagwat said. Bhagwat’s comments came on a day BJP president Amit Shah pitched for an anti-conversion law and wanted other political parties to support such a measure in the Parliament. “BJP is the only political party in the country that opposes forceful conversion. The so-called secular parties should come forward to support an anti-conversion legislation,” Shah told reporters in Kochi. The BJP president said further steps on the legislation can be taken up only after a consensus is evolved among political parties. Article 25 of the Indian Constitution grants to citizens of all religious persuasions freedom to profess, practise and propagate their faith in a way that does not disrupt public order and does not affect public health and morality adversely.
