I was not directly part of, but the whole college enjoyed the skit... people were doing rofl..... and we were very happy that we could make people laugh for half an hour to one hour duration..... cut chesthe... one month later, bus stand lo bus kosam nunchuni unte oka pedddayana tho maatalu kalisaai.... and in course of the discussion he asked which college I studied.... and when I told the name, he paused a minute and then asked..... he: mee college lo recent gaa eee comedy skit chesaaranta kada??? me: (I was like, wow.... what we did got so good word of mouth that even outside common people came to know and were discussing) and belated about it said very proudly "YESSSSssss" he: mee college lo, next annual day ki dammunte skit eee lines lo chesi choodandi, if it would be considered funny.... me: in a moment of realization, the truth hit me hard in my face, so hard that I was literally blown away!!!! I could not respond! now the background info: the skit we did was draupadi vastrapaharan and instead of maaya joodam, pandavas and kauravas would be playing cricket..... and now the crucial bit: our college was a muslim minority college!! and the suggestion he gave: make a parody skit about some verses in quran........ and see if the same crowd would be as appreciative and take it with as much sense of humour! keka link: fikileaks, | ||

Thts the issue brother....enough of 'truths' have been displayed on Hinduism. In fact these 'truths' are the biggest base for conversions. Fine. So, all we get to see in our movies are all muslims are great pious devotees doing namaaz 5 times and are true patriots for India badmouthing Pakistan and Christians are uber cool merrily celebrating their Christmas. Hindus are the ones who are perenially right winged, have sleazy godmen and many more evils within their system. For a change now, how about showing 'truths' about other religions? Like say in the name of religion, how christians wiped out races and continue to bribe the world for conversions. Like say how in the name of 'Holy War', how radicals are now terrorising and mass murdering the world incl. children? Why, even in the recent movie 'Haider', ugly 'truth' about Indian Army were only shown about how they were torturing 'innocent' peace loving youth and forced them to become radicals.
