I doubt this will achieved because in most of the sexual abuse cases the abuse happens in the hands of people know to the victim so as a society if we don't encourage the victim to name and shame the abuser then no matter how many open letters you write victims are still going to be in the closet. Second thing this letter does is just reinforces the idea of our society as patriarchal by being addressed to male opinion makers! how are these open letters even helping? Will it raise awareness or change the male psyche? All itll do is enable people to share it to death on FB and rile for a while about it. yes, it is kind of week laws we have .. technology should be used in places where there is crowd.
