I used dyson for about 7 years. I liked it , but not so flexible and a bit of heavy. yi saari Oreck konnaanu(2 years ayyindi). idi chaalaa light weight and can reach under the couch.so far so good. | ||

i find it easy to use wet grinder than mixie for idly/gaarelu/dosa etc... india lo baaga alavatu naku amma ki pindi rubbi iyyadam. long term prospect lo chusukunte wet grinder is better than relying on mixies  | ||

we don't have carpet either. it comes with an attachment for hardwood floor. We have no issues. of course moping is required for any hardwood floor after vacuum | ||

Got the Vitamix 6200 for $499 for Thanks Giving from costco and returned it back yesterday. It doesn’t work well with our Indian batters like dose idly and Garalu.Its takes lot of time and the batter is also too silky. The machine also stopped working after back to back Dosa and idle grinding. Called customer service and they said it must have overheat and the sensor must have stopped it. Gave rest for 30 min and it worked again. Over all my purpose of buying this was for batters and it did not do good. It worked excellent for Juices and soups. Nothing. Memu india nundi Preeti mixers couple of times thecchamm... worked for sometime and broke. Ikkada Macys lo Cuisinart/Kitchenaid brands konnam... again, broke after sometime. Once you invest on Vitamix, it will last forever (I hope) and performs very well. | ||

Avunu Vitamix is much much more powerful than our mixies. Kaani $350 sale lo kooda. If you plan to use it frequently its a good buy I have it and use it from juices to icecream and our andhra pacchallu and pindivantalu | ||
