basically that speaks to quality of players college basketball is producing.. and the level of difference between college basketball and pro-basketball. NFL lo even if you get #1 pick...the chances of landing a franchise altering super star are very low. So, that is what is preventing NFL teams from tanking a lot. NBA lo almost 50% of #1 picks change franchise fortunes over night. NFL lo who will win the title is mostly random...daanitho parity ekkuva...you can make mistakes in team building and still win. Yes, these picks will join in 2 years...they want to be bad for a few years by collecting high picks and suddenly become good. OKC thunder collected Durant (#2 pick), Westbrook (#4 pick) and Harden (# 3 pick) in consecutive years and suddenly built a contender. Now more teams are trying to do that...that makes the entire NBA worse. Last year some 5-6 teams were playing to loose every game. | ||

Teams with with the worst record will only have 12% chance of No1 pick. Anti-tanking measure to counter what 76ers are doing. They did not sign a single meaningful player in last 2 years. They traded away all their starters. In this years draft, they had 2 top-10 picks and picked 2 players that will not be playing this season.
