yes adhe kadha cheppindhi. I end up buying 110" but now I feel I should gone little more bigger. I would suggest keep the screen for last. Setup everything and test it on wall and buy it later. Also, I bought BenQ 1070. I am really impressed with it. For 110, I have to mount it around 11' from screen. |

DefTech speakers are good. Their tower speakers usually has embedded subwoofer, you don't have to get separate sub. For apartments or tight places, that is good solution. If you have room, going for dedicated sub is better. |

Simba:Screen must be 16x9 format and 120" at least projector lo deals untayi, if you go for last year models. There is absolutely no difference year-to-year. I even recommend purchasing on secondary market like audiogon/videogon, eBay. Receiver is the heart of the system and you pick it based on the room size. Again, there are hardly any changes in receiver tech. Pick a brand like Denon, Yamaha (sorry Onkyo), find the top of the line product from an year or two ago and search for it. They perform lot better than entry/mid level from current year models. Speakers are difficult to choose. Usually, everyone has different ears for different speakers. So, you have to try and pick. If you cant, I can suggest some good brands.

Botsa_fan:Panasonic - PTAE8000(u) -1999.99(this price is same as AMazon) Screen - Dragonfly Accoustic(audio Pass thru) - 120" - 899.00 Reciever - TXNR828(onkyo) - 599.00 Episode inwall - speaker - sperie 700 - 3395(485*7) Episode inwall subwoofer - 459.00
That is an impressive setup and price is very competitive. Episode makes good speakers and usually offered to custom-installers. That's why you guy is suggesting them. Couple of things I can point out: 1. The projector is great for the price. See if you can buy little older model for lesser price. 2. People spend $200 to $2000 for the screen. I see a sweetspot of $500 where you get a nice screen. Beyond that they give diminishing returns. 3. Finally, make sure you are getting nicer Episode speakers. They offer different (Awesome/great/ok) range speakers within 700 series. If you are getting the top-of-the-line speakers, then you are getting a great deal. Look all the speakers offered in 700 series. Ask your installer for the specific model numbers: http://episodespeakers.com/products/category/architechtural |

But from what i read dnt buy a subwoofer manufactured by mass production companies like polk, sony, klisch, pioneer etc... go for svs or HSU etc... |
