Well, if you don’t believe this, then turn to Page 2 in Eenadu. The story also claims that the officials have been giving vegetables and rice to all those affected irrespective of the ration card they hold. It also says that the milk vendors have slashed the prices by Rs 10 and that the engineers are making sure that the apartments are getting water supply through tankers. It would have been really nice if the story was factual. But go to Vizag or talk to your friends living in Vizag and enquire after them. Right from the slum dwellers to middle class apartment inhabitants, just do a quick survey and you will know the facts. It is a fact that even 5 per cent of Vizag did not get electricity even as late as Friday night. Though the power supply has been restored to the Collector’s office, it has been said that there would be no power during day time. The officials have said that since they have to go about doing repair work, the supply would be given only during night time.  | ||
