Check your car. If those are simple fixes, try to get a local mechanic estimate the total cost for fix(dont tell that you got insurance etc with you. Get an idea of the total. The other guy's insurance gives you an estimate/totaling call. If your local mechanic gives a low cost estimate compared to the insurance offer, you can make the cash settlement and get it fixed by yourself with the local mechanic. But the damage is real significant, ask the other party insurance to fix it with Warranty. | ||

Please check with your DMV, and don't forget to "report" the accident if it is mandatory. For example: CA would want you to report (fill an Accident report) within 14 days if the damage is more than $700 or some one gets injured. Both drives need to do that. | ||

for future reference, don't leave the accident site without a claim number from the other driver. neeku ichina insurance valid lekapothey you cannot do anything other than go to small claims court and fight it out. I got burned twice and learned my lesson. | ||

do not call your insurance company, vaalu start cheste they will first take the deductions and they will get claim from other insurance company, neeku at the end deductible return chestaru.. unnecessary long process.. you do not have to wait.. just call the other person's insurance and check if she already reported about the accident and give your details. They will take care of it. | ||

First call ur insurance report the accident. Tell them very very clearly that 'YOU ARE NOT AT FAULT AND YOU ARE NOT EXPECTING COVERAGE FROM YOU INSURANCE. I just got rear ended. nalladi venaka nunchi ochi guddindi while i was waiting to make a left turn. cop gadu ochi iddari details teesukunnadu. said rear end cases lo guddinavalladi tappu ani nalla daniki cheppadu. "you are at fault ani" . complaint original daniki ichi , copy naku ichadu. mean while aa nalladi already insurance ki phone chesi claim process start chesindi. I took her drivers license, insurance info, phone number , inti address etc. ippudu em cheyyali ani cop ni adigithe, you dont have to do anything, she already started the claim, waite for couple hours to 2 days and her insurance company will call you annadu. so my kochan is vallu call chesi em adugutaru, next steps enti, dani insurance company vadu call cheyyakapothe em cheyyali, etc etc , emina Knowledge Transfer cheyyandi please. |
