Particularly webservice akkarledu, a HTTP or HTTPS request packet with JSON payload as the body needs to be processed somehow.. look at Node JS, or similar Server-side JS libraries. Additionally, not all linux commands will be available - which, sed, cat, awk etc etc can rarely be found. Linux command execution in a back-end server ante, that is an entirely different schematics. Setup JSON based Webservices, receive a JSON request from the Mobile App, start the command on the server, respond with an acknowledgment so the Device App will display something accordingly, and then, there's no Push Notifications in Android, and is pretty cumbersome to setup on iPhones as well, so pretty much, consider it is not available. Keep polling the server at regular intervals with simple JSON Requests, checking to see if the Command on the server has successfully completed execution, and if so, package the response as a JSON and return to the Mobile App on the Device.
