Regarding compliance requirements, that is a very painful and involved topic. Ledhu, any country vallu ayina directors ga undachcu. I don't think there are any restriction on %age of directors. However, if the company comes under restricted FDI categories, then the majority of the BoD can't be foreigners as that will be construed as having "control" of the company. For instance, if you are a newspaper or retail company, then the BoD can't be majority foreigners as FDI in retail or media is restricted. So apart from these issues, i don't think there are any %age restictions. | ||

I am continuing to use that for the existing company. Once you get it, it will be there for life. Go through the MCA site that Reddit has given. It is a fairly straightforward process. You will get it within a few days, earlier TCS used to manage the process. Not sure who is doing so right now. Deeniki international validity, sanctity emi undavu. This was purely bought into effect to check the "vanishing company" problem in India, where companies might raise money from the public and just close shop. The DIN will identify the people behind the company and appropriate legal action can be taken against them in such a scenario. | ||
