Mahesh has either regressed or wanted to do an out & out mass movie, whatever he failed big time. The character didn't suit him and the lengthy dialogs didn't help either in delivering the punch. Writers have to remember that brevity is the soul of the wit. Brahmi was routine and monotonous. He has to stop doing these crass comic roles. Tammu was looking very bad. Film makers should stop going after combinations and instead concentrate on story, if at all there is one and cast accordingly. Don't know why they casted Naseer or umpteen other actors. The less we talk about BGM the better, had a deja vu feel throughout the movie. Should check if this has been used in his previous movies. Only saving grace in the movie are couple of songs in each half which were shot really well but Mahesh with his limited dancing skills wasted the effort. Shruti Hassan is a bomb and she is one helluva dancer. BO wise the movie will end up between 40-45 C and in my opinion Baadshah was a much better movie. The final BO numbers will prove whether mahesh can pull the movie like fans want to believe or just be another propped up star like SSK. We're so quick to point out our own flaws in others. |
