One thing we should Know Before watching any sports Related Movie is These Movies have a Formula.... "An Underdog Team or a Player Who Struggles through his life n ends up as a Winner" This is the premise of pretty much every sports related film, So Its Really very Hard for any Director to pull it off a Gud film with in the limits of that Premise. But the Difference Here is That under dog is a Girl. "I should not say this Cause it doesn't make any difference what gender that player belongs to." But Lets Face the Fact This is India It is definitely a Very Big deal for a Girl to choose Boxing as her Career ESP when she is coming from a Small village of North East India. Coming back to the Movie. (Cause I think u all know the Life story of Mary Kom Hence i will not be hiding anything here so Spoilers Alert) Movie Starts off When Mary Kom is about to deliver a baby n Her husband is taking her to the Hospital n there is a Curfew imposed in manipur because of the riots. Some how they Manages to convince the Police n On the way to Hospital Mary Kom's Flash back Starts.... Rest of the Movie Shuffles From Flash back to Present showing how Mary Kom was interested in Boxing, How she managed to get a Coach, How she Fought with her own Dad for the Game which is OK n Presented in a Nice manner on the Screen. But the Real problem with the first half of the Movie is It No where connects with the Audience hence u will feel like Movie is Going on a Flat note with out any High points. And Then Mary kom Marries Leaves her Boxing Career. But She Starts Missing the Sport right before the Interval n here's where the Movie Picks up n the actual Drama Starts n gives the Hope for a Better Second Half. Now To Summarize this I would Say Only One Line There is Literally Nothing In the Entire first half of the Movie to Cheer for Except Priyanka Chopra.... Entire First Half Of the Movie Solely Relies on the Strong Shoulder's of Priyanka Chopra n She Career's the Etire First Half with Elan.... The Second Half This is where the Movie Comes On Track.... Mary Kom Starts Missing her Sport n Her Husband Supporting her to achieve her goals once again which she left Long Back. Now I will Not say anything More about the Second half of the Movie. If u Like Good Drama, Gud Emtions, Gud Story This Second half of the Movie is For u. I Like All thos things which i Mentioned above So I Love the Entire Second Half. The Climax Shows How Courageous/Strong a Women can be once she is Determined to do Something in her life. Perfect Emotions, Perfect Performances portrayed On screen by all the actors. Apart From Show Stealer Priyanka Chopra the guy who played her husband Showed a very Matured performance which i liked, the Coach is also Gud. Final Words From Me : "U May Like the Movie or u May Hate it But by the End of it u will End up Loving Mary Kom n Priyanka Chopra for portraying her So Well On Screen" 2.75/5 For the First half - 3.75/5 for the second half of the Movie - 3.25/5 - For the Movie 0.5 Extra Grace marks for Priyanka :P....
