Jake_ryan:

not at all a good deal.
its only for very risk averse people who have very poor exposure to other investments like stocks/MF;

dont get into this trap.
my 2 cents

other DB financial pundits can tell you more.

10yrs ki 50lakhs will be around 95lakhs at 9% rate... so vaadu almost 1cr principle meeda paying only 3 lkhs per year for next years and keeping 6lks per year in fund (assuming 9%)... so ila 1.6crs meeda he is paying back only 5 lkhs per year for the rest of the life and giving only 75lks to the kid in the end... my calcs may be wrong but money management discipline unte not a good deal ...

Icici vaadu ninna deeni gurinchi cheppaadu.. ela vundhi?
To me sounds a safe bet.

5 lakh s per annum for 10 years

Then you'll receive 3 lakh per annum for the next 10 years.

After, you'll receive 5 lakh per annum until primary expires.
Then spouse Will receive 5 lakh per annum until she expires.
Then kid will receive 75 lakh lump sum.

Totally from NRE account, so no issues with conversion.

In government bonds so very less service charge- around 6000 per annum.
