Gods asked Shiva to name a Gandhipa and he asks Ganesha and Karthikeya to take a bath in all divine places and the winner gets the post. Ganesha tells Shiva that his physical inability makes it no contests, and Shiva then asks him to chant Narayana mantra and circle the parents. Kartikeya on his tour notices that Ganesha had already passed all the places, and he loses the race. Nuvvu only circle the parents anadam is partially not true. He won the race that way.
