Priorities of poor people have changed over time... 80s/early 90s lo just bhojanam pedithe pani chesetollu... intlo pani chesey paaleru ki annam kakunda jonna annam or raagi sangati pette vaallu..they were happy with that.. appatlo pani leka edhainaa bhojanam ki pani chesetollu.. now pani kavalsinantha vundhi..pani vaalle leru..and govt is giving food with heavy subsidy..now their priority is step up in terms of education, health, basic amenities etc atleast for their next gen.. still kontha mandhi tindi lenollu vunnaaru I agree..but very very minimal vaallu like handicapped, ill-health, very old staying alone type.. | ||

I agree situation might be better compared to 70s,80s 80s lo manam kooda kastalu choosam kabatti .. manaki clear artham ayyindhi valla situation.. Ippudu manam comfortable situation lo vundatam valana ground situation artham kadhu.. ippudu kooda there people in similar situations ( I won't say ..starving to death..but there are people starving today) | ||

I know the situation of the villages better than anyone in this DB...no exaggeration... Labor situation is good now than chinna, sannakaru farmer in village... Labor kooli 300-500Rs vundhi... work lenappudu happy ga day ki 3-4hrs chesi 300rs techukune vupadhi haami padhakam vundhi... monthly atleast 7000-9000rs solid ga each kooli sampadistunnadu... and 100Rs ki anni vastuvulu ration lo istunnaru which costs actually in market around 300Rs... KG Rice 1Rs ki istunnaru...ivi kontha mandhi vaadakunda ammuku dobbuthunnaru to poultry farms feed... pedda health problem vastey Arogya sri vundhi... Govt housing almost all janal ki vachesaayi..I see very less huts now in villages... where as Farmer situation is very bad... ekaraniki anni ponu 7-10K migalatam kasta ga vundhi (bag of Dhanyam now 1300Rs only..per acre 30 bags varaku vastai)...anni expenses perigaayi...5-10acres vunnodiki yearly max 1-1.5lacs income matrame vastondhi... which is any labor with 2 people working in famliy is earning easily... PS: Nen chepthondhi oka north coastal district lo baaga baaga venukabadina 90% labor vunna village lo situation...(maa village kaadhu) | ||

Rice/grains is heavily subsidized in India now... in AP its now they are getting it for Rs.1 per Kg... that means, Govt is giving it literally free and even shipping is free almost.. Tindi ki lekapovatam anedhi 80s/90s lo issue..not now anymore in India... its now JOB and SKILL that are very much required for people... | ||
