Plot: Hero falls in love at first sight but the Heroine turns out to be someone he hates. Torn between his love and her stubbornness, he turns to desparate measures which leaves him in awkward situations. Does he finally get his love? 1st Half: Starts off interestingly and warmly funny with unusual scenarios. The entire first half deals with the premise of Hero and Heroine not meeting. Lots of scenes conceived with great support cast in form Hero's friend and Heroines' friends. Interval build up is good with the usual challenge of winning the girl in front of the Hero. 2nd Half: Starts off ok with the usual ways Hero tries in winning her back. Just when it starts getting predictable, enters Sapthagiri. And the theatre simply erupts. Though you have a feeling his track if forcefully integrated into the storyline, you simply cannot but enjoy. His track is carried on till near climax and the movie itself ends on a sweet and simple note. Artists: Sumanth Ashwin: This guy is good. Seriously good. Surprised not many in the DB noticed him. He can act and emote very well. Looks good. Dances decently. He is the next 'Nani' in TFI. He simply carries of his role with elan effortlessly. He deserves a big budget break. Nanditha: The sweet, beautiful and girl next door from 'Prema Katha Chitram' carries off where she left. Though she looks cute, she has put on weight and at times is overshadowed by her friends. She was decent overall. Rest: Hero's friend and Sapthagiri deserve special mention. They simply carried the 1st half and 2nd on their soldiers. The Magadheera spoof shall be a big hit with masses. They are vry good and we shall see more of them. Heroine's friends are very convincing too. Direction: Didnt know this was a Maruthi movie till interval where his card rolls. Makes you wonder why doesnt he do more of movies on lines of 'Prema katha chitram' and 'Lovers' instead of the soft porns. Most of the dialogues were good. Most of the songs were good. Cinematography is good for the budget and so is the screenplay. Analysis: Movie belongs to the genre of 'GJGA' recently. Lots of hide and seek between the lead pair in 1st half and confrontation in the 2nd with lots of youthful comedy by support cast in the background. The movie doesnt really lag much and jst where there seems to be some, enough comedy is infused. Director is successful in getting vry good performances from most of the cast and hardly anyone if wasted. Rating: 3.50/5 Did I enjoy it: Oh Yes! Bottomline: An entertaining Romcom with a great cast to go along. |
