i purchased used car and there is a small break in windshield glass. I had to remove/replace old car with new car. But, i didn't do it as there is 10 day period. so, i called geico and they asked some questions(as usual). they couldn't find my new car details. i told that i purchased the car couple of days back only. then, they are fine. after that, they were looking mainly for the old car coverage details to make sure it's covered. they never said they won't cover for new vehicle as it's not added in insurance. If any state, federal or govt vehicle hits ur car.. they will pay only your deductible amount...rest all you will have to get from insurance .. if ur car gets totaled, they will pay you only ur deductible, rest 20k or 40k wat ever it is u will have to get from insurance.. | ||

recent ga ma friend new car konnadu he has no insurance earlier so they process the purchase in toyata showroom only after the insurance is taken.. but he can go to registration office with in 30 days and during this 30days showroom gave him a temporay number plate.. that means showroom hold/pay the insurance which is still valid for 30days and as a drive you already have an insurance only thing you have not added the new car to your existing insurance..,but showromm might have done this already.. just check with showroom before calling the insurance.
