http://www.deccanchronicle.com/140807/nation-politics/articl e/stop-it-telangana-cm-k-chandrasekhar-rao-tells-chandrababu -naidu Hyderabad: Three days after shaking hands, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday lashed out at his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu, and his team for interfering in Telangana affairs. Mr Rao’s outburst was in retaliation to Andhra Pradesh ministers lodging a complaint with Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan objecting to the renaming of the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University after Telangana ideologue late Prof. Jayashankar. “It’s only the beginning. Lots of things have to be changed in Hyderabad. Names which we don’t want, statues, things that do not belong to us and which we don’t understand. Why do we need them?” asked Mr Rao. Mr Rao said there was no stopping of renaming institutions in Telangana as per the AP Reorgani-sation Act and warned Mr Naidu and his team against indulging in “mad, provocative acts” against the state. Indicating no change in the government’s stand on the fee issue, he took a dig at Mr Naidu for promising to build a capital like Singapore in Andhra Pradesh at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh crore while refusing to reimburse the fees of AP students. “Why should we (Andhra-Telangana) get into a brawl daily? We are ready for a big fight if you want,” the Chief Minister said. |
