During 1985-1990 period for Intermediate (11th, 12th grades) LFJC, CHAITANYA KALASALA, ST MARY'S were very good and somewhere HPS lost (Especially to LFJC and CHAITANYA KALASALA)!

In our days the most famous schools were HPS-BEGUMPET, HPS-RAMANTHAPUR...both had competition between themselves and baane saduvu seppe vallu! Ika SPORTS (More precisely cricket) ante ee rendu HPS lu, GRAMMER School etc la madhya competetion undedi!
When LITTLE FLOWER JR COLLEGE took off (It became famous after it moved to UPPAL sometime in 1980) it was the most popular Jr College and it gave PUBLIC Schools stiff competition by getting more and more of it's students into IITs!
Sometime after 1990 these HPS Schools lost charm!
PAWAN is like NBK for me from now on!

very nice. not many families, those days, who encouraged such stuff. CA ane kaadhu kaani if people want to get into the biz line, that's the best route I think. By 25, you can have an MBA+ good biz exposure. ee engg route is just a waste of time. |

Bushu:how did you end up making that choice of MEC though? most choose MPC kadhaa? all the commerce folks I met in Hyd, have either been influenced by the Dads or it was never a choice. chennai and mumbai, tthe culture is diff.
I was always interested in stocks and stuff from my 6-7th standard with some books at my house. I never liked physics and chemistry because the teachers at HPS were pathetic, even Maths you can say. My dad too kept telling me from an early age that CA is a good profession. Initially i wanted to take CEC, but was told at home that MEC was better, so i opted for that. My goal was just to do CA, MBA gatra alochana ledhu appatiki... |

Not much different, manadi same route, B.Com, ICWA, MBA...but doing MEC is marginally better than CEC as the math helps for your CAT entrance... |

HPS Begumpet - BVB Jubilee Hills were the top Schools in terms of prestige. But HPS Begumpet was a notch above. HPS Ramanthapur and HPS Begumpet there is no comparison. HPS Ramanthapur is like Intel Celeron.
