I am increasingly disappointed by the BJP govt - nothing much seems to have changed from the UPA to now.. Modi is as silent as Manmohan, the BJP despite an overwhelming majority shows its pusillanimity when confronted with a few hundred disgruntled students from 1-2 states, the budget shows no direction apart from underfunded grandiose projects, govt. backtracks over rail fare hikes, Parliament is still held up over trivial issues...same to same, the more things change, the more they remain the same annatu undhi... The only administrative measure that seems to be of worth is providing self-affidavits instead of attestation by a notary.... | ||

pak degenerated not purely because of anti-indian stand, but because of the islamization drive and their adherence to the feudal structures; they never truly had a land ceiling act implemented. until about 1969, they were ahead of india in many social and economic metrics. the issues with the north indian segments is the same adherence to age old social standards with no danda to change. still very feudal. | ||

i studied in english medium ICSE schools from 1st std...my english is bad too doesnt matter...my father is also from telugu medium....he worked as an engineer for 30 years...he is good at speaking english...no but give him something to write he doesnt make a single mistake...the point here is we all speak in telugu even in district collector meetings and just like IT meetings these days its all khicidi of hinglish , telugish, tamlish but when we write we use english so that when it has to go to various departments, states it makes it easy... but the point here is they dont want to write exams and running away from basic logical aptitude...banks, railways everywhere u have english, logical reasoning aptitude..if people from all backgrounds can write and pass and work as bank officers then why cant Civil services people do the same here nobody is trying to judge your english grammar or speaking proficiency...simple as that another eason being used Protesters have claimed that the CSAT syllabus favours those from science and engineering backgrounds and is discriminatory against those from the Humanities, particularly those from rural areas who studied in Hindi medium. That argument neatly conflates several contentious issues into one prickly touchy mess â humanities vs engineering, Hindi vs English, rural vs urban. | ||
