I was in IB for many years and i still have many friends in IB and Equity Research/ Equity sales. What you said might have been true, but not so after 2008. IB pay is skewed towards bonuses, you might get 100-200% of your fixed in a year or even 20%. Post 2008, most IBs have started giving bonuses in stocks which vest over time and also tied to the overall company performance. So the big difference that exits in IB pay and corporate pay has reduced and is not worth the pain and risk. In fact there has been a big decline in the number of jobs in IB in India over the past 4-5 years, almost by 30-40% as the IPO market is practically dead, trading volumes on the equity desks are also down big time... |

Filmbuff:In Infy, i know that AVPs get around 50-60 L or thereabouts....i have a couple of close friends who are AVPs, so these are pucca numbers. These are folks with 13-14 folks years experience.

Product companies lo easy thammudu: 80 L - 1 C. VP aithe guarantee anuko - oka 1.25 daka (including stock) rasukovachchu...directors themselves get around 50-70 depending on department.
