UN is not restricted to internatational issues anukuntunna... they are more of a crisis response body set up by everyone.....they do aid camps even for individual countries.....send peacekeeping forces etc etc..... If there is ethnic cleansing....or people getting hammered like this....even if its with in a one country boundary...UN will respond.....after all its set up as world body to respond to various crisis..... internal...international.....UN vishayam lo chaala fine difference ani naa view.... Then there's the reason that may matter in the U.S. The fact that the U.S. didn't formally designate Boko Haram a terrorist organization until last year has become the focus of a partisan attack against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was in office when the Obama administration was debating the move. Key to the accusation is the idea that adding the group to America's terrorist list would have made a difference, presumably by restricting funding to Boko Haram.
