Central government has appointed Telangana Chief Minister KCR as the vice-chairman for Southern Zonal Council. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be the Chairman of the board. The Southern Zonal Council role is to act like bridge between State governments in South India and Centre. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Pondicherry (Union Territory) are members of Southern Zonal Council. KCR will be heading this board for one year. Taking everyone by surprise, KCR bagged the post who is the CM of new state of Telangana.
