The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has agreed to set up a 4,000 Megawatt power plant at Ramagundam in Telangana adjacent to its existing units, an official statement said Tuesday. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao Tuesday assured NTPC chairman and managing director Arup Roy Choudhury, who called on him, that he would take up with the central government coal linkage for the project. "The chief minister agreed to provide the required land from the available land or by acquiring land from Singareni Collieries Company," said a statement from the Chief Minister's Office.
