I am getting one done here in Delhi. Don't pay more than 25000. Throw him the line that you will also get your stat audit done through him. Only pain right now is that with the new Companies Act, there are a host of changes to the process which even some of the CAs are figuring out afresh. So this is taking time.
Companies do show that in CTC to blow up the number. But gratuity is payable only if one has worked in a company for greater than 5 years. But companies have flexibility on this - Infosys, i hear, pays out gratuity even for people who have completed 1-2 years of service. | ||

There is no separate dispensation for IT companies. As per the payment of gratuity act and supreme court rulings, 26 is the no. of days per month. Whether that IT company works for 4 days or 5 days is irrelevant. The payment of gratuity act does not differentiate between type of company and their internal employee rules on holidays etc. | ||
