Nope. But at your stage of growth, do you really think you need an advisor for preparing the collateral and pitch. I have rarely seen early stage firms get advisors partly because the angels are more interested in You, your passion for the business, your vision etc. Collaterals are useful when you might be going in for your Series A round. At this stage anyway there won't be a lot of financial history, analytics for an advisor to help you. But of course, if you are not clued into financials statements, forecasting, preparing balance sheets and seeing the funding gaps, then they might be handy. | ||

yes, working on biz case and exec summary for angel list and funding post, ny angels etc Have u heard of the firm called "growthink"? They are supposed to be good at creating collateral for VCs or angels. Thinking of hiring them as they can professionally color code my biz case and create financial modeling etc Don't say you don't have enough time. Have you tried Angellist, if not, try to post your pitch there. They have a documentation facility where legal documents can be done at a fraction of the cost. | ||

Number one, before criticizing check the facts first. Refer to my first thread - I have very clearly said that equity offering will be files with all regulatory agencies. There is no change in that. Not sure how you interpreted otherwise. Only difference now is that - all the investors have to be 'accredited' investors given the amount of money we are trying to raise. Not sure why you think i fooled DBers here.. I have posted brief high level plan and asked DBers if there are interested to learn/understand more via webex. And those who are interested signed up. I have very clearly said that, i am not going to make any tall promises and requested them to think twice before even considering this type of investment. this should have been the first step, when you were trying to raise funds from family/friends & db i know the day you have posted this thread that, you will end up no where with this scheme, bcoz iaaaress, will not let you do this, its kind of a Ponzi Scheme for them in their perspective unless u go in their route i know that you are lazy as you have stated openly in this db many times, but not to an extent of making db friends fools out of the whole thing. it could be very ez for you to make up 10k, but looking @ the aam janatha of db, you just made fools out of them, so, you need to be really sorry & make every effort to pull this out in the best possible legal way | ||

Thank you for all your interest and follow up via emails about the webex date. I have been advised that money can only be raised through private equity from 'accredited' investors. Also, in order to raise the money that we are looking for, we have to create lot of paper work and publish a prospectus through security exchange and others. Attorneys/CPA cost for this alone will be in the range for 100-150K. We can raise money without all of these filings.. (still legal/accountable) but i want to follow mainstream channel rather than shortcuts There are some exemptions to raise money through family and friends channel but some limitations apply. So bottom line, i am trying to sort this out with corp/biz attorneys and financial consultant. Will keep you all posted via email.
