Govts. fiscal deficits ultimately hit the banks indirectly, free power aina, fee reimbursement ayina - the fiscal shortfall will have to be funded by the centre or by state bonds. More often it is from the centre. Banks should be ringfenced from any such schemes..any burden should be borne by the govts themselves and even the RBI should not show any flexibility towards state govts bond issuances...there should be interdepartmental monitoring body for all these subsidies...asalu anthu undadhu deeniki...
