Economics lekka idhi- consumption + Investment + G + NX = GDP, consumption makes sense to the state when it being captured in that state..if the guy is spending it on buying motorcyles made in Gurgaon or cars made in Chennai, evariki labham...the NX which is net exports is negative and the 300 crs you are talking about will be negated by more of imports from outside the state. So unless you are creating the industries that are going to use this additional income creation, we can't aspire to the next level. That is why Hyd has remained a city of shopkeepers, industries unte value capture would have been at the manufacturing level...manaki ee low end bajji kotlu migilayi... Not true - high income living in a city has nothing do with food industries having to be there (apart from restaurants that is as that is a service and a local business). Haldirams ekkadi nunchi vasthondhi, Nestle/ Parle/ Britannia ekkadi nunchi vasthonnayi...they will located industries where they get good workers, infrastructure etc...for them the retail locations and distribution are centred around local incomes and not the actual manufacturing. | ||

Reddit cheppindhi correct ye kada, take Bangalore for instance...IT industries do not pay income tax (most of them are in a SEZ or still availing STPI benefits), excise, sales tax, export duties emi undavu...anduke Bangalore infra ala sanka nakindhi...in fact the benefit for a city in getting IT is not easily quantifiable...of course there are all these numbers about indirect job creation of 4 or 5:1 for drivers, catering, security, facility providers etc. But these are absolutely low end jobs and no country became rich by creating these kinds of jobs...what are needed are actually reasonably well paying manufacturing jobs....we should stop focussing on IT in fact, that horse has bolted, if it comes well and good but no need to bend over backward and give them free land, tax breaks etc. Their demands are usually unreasonable and out of whack. Gujarat lo enni IT industries unnayi enti...use the natural advantages that SA has and build upon it. | ||

Forget about IT sector and better CBN takes up food processing & manufacturing sectors to usher in the growth. IT is a great job creator but a very poor revenue earner also trickle effect won't be there like manufacturing sector. | ||
