Chief Minister-designate K Chandrasekhar Rao has picked up the song 'Jaya Jaya He Telangana' written by noted lyricist Dr. Ande Sri as the official state song of Telangana. He, however, made sure few changes were made to the original song to suit the present situation.

Apparently, 'Jaya Jaya He Telangana' mentions the count of Telangana districts as 10. As TRS Government wishes to make the 10 districts in he new state into 24, The count of districts in the song will also be changed.

It is known that TRS is opposing the state song 'Maa Telugu Talliki' since several years. Hence, KCR is making sure that the celebrations of the new state will begin with song 'Jaya Jaya He Telangana' at Secunderabad Parade Ground on June 2nd, 2014.

Ande Sri hails from Rebarthi village near Janagoan, Warangal. The move by TRS Government will be a great honour to the son of the soil.
