Max: 10-15 K crores...lots of options, issue bonds to banks (to avoid any capital issues at the banks) securitised against receipts on excess power sale (for the next 3 years which in my view can be upwards of 2000 cr a year), additional tax proceeds, reduction in deficit from minimisation of fee reimbursement scheme etc. Naidu should be unforgiving in minimising wasteful subsidies. Namo is on the right track, they are getting under rein even popular but fiscally disastrous policies like MRNEGA by making the scheme more targeted, reducing coverage, mix of labour vs material etc. Naidu should follow similarly and reduce any effed up subsidies. | ||
