This article 100% perfectly inline with my thinking I am hard core opponent to ysrcp just for one reason of ysr ,jagan spoiled chiru image personally and politically I have been hard core hater of tdp till now,,but i had to support tdp just for this election  PK is a steroid for campaign and insurance to win in polling for TDP and BJP | ||

"Kapus believe that the late chief minister, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, spoiled their dreams of taking over reins of power from two dominant communities when Chiranjeevi floated PRP. Now Pawan Kalyan undermined the YSRCP's chances of forming government," said political analyst Prof. LSN Prasad. Although YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy attempted to win over Kapus by fielding candidates from the community even in places where other social groups are strong, Kapus did not favour YSRCP nominees in many places. The party fielded Kapu candidates in six Lok Sabha constituencies, the highest by any party this general election. However, all six candidates lost despite having considerable number of Kapu votes in their constituencies. Surprisingly, Kapu candidates lost even in their strongholds though the rivals were from relatively less dominant social group. The YSRCP failed to win even a single Assembly segment out of 15 in West Godavari and was confined to just five of the 19 in East Godavari. This eventually reduced the YSRCP's tally to just five out of 34 segments, while the TDP bagged the other 29. Worse, the YSRCP won five of the 16 segments in Krishna and another five of the 17 in Guntur giving it just 10 of the 33 seats. In all, YSRCP won just 15 of the 67 seats in four districts. "YSRCP would have easily formed government even if it won half the Kapu dominated segments in Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts," said Kapunadu leader PV Prasad. But Kapus successfully ensured Jagan's defeat, he said. Although former minister Thota Narasimham joined the TDP just before elections, he trounced a relatively stronger Ch Suneel of YSRCP just due to the overwhelming support he received from Kapus. The most surprising result was the shocking defeat of Thota Chandrasekhar in Eluru Lok Sabha where Kapus consist of almost 3.5 lakh voters. While TDP candidates in Kamma strongholds of Vijayawada and Guntur won the seats with comfortable majorities of around 70,000 votes, Maganti Babu won Eluru, a Kapu dominated constituency with over one lakh votes. |
